Job description
The Dispute Resolution Center is seeking a responsible and professional individual to work with parents during coached visitations with their children at designated visit locations throughout Orange and Sullivan County. Visit Coaching is a strength-based approach to work with clients to meet parenting goals. Hours and days may vary depending on visit schedule which could include Saturday when needed.
Qualifications:
- Four year college degree required and equivalent work experience in Child Welfare/Human Services.
- Valid and clean NYS Driver License
- Experience working with low-income families
- Knowledge of child development
- Knowledge of car seat safety and proper installation is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety of children during visitation with parents
- Provide support and guidance to parents working toward meeting specific parenting goals
- Complete written reports of visitations
- Maintain regular communication with DSS Caseworkers and Visit Coach Coordinator
- Maintain travel log and gas receipts for company owned vehicle.
- Transportation of parents or children in company car only
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
